Dear Anna,

my name is Ally and I am 16. I come from Brighton, on the south coast of England: it is one of the most famous cities in Britain and it is near London, about one hour away by car.

I go to a quite big school: there are about 1.500 students.

I live with my family in a flat in the center of the city. My mum is 46 and is a journalist, she works for the newspaper "The Guardian". My dad is 48 and is a bank clerk. I've got one brother and one sister, Mike and Alice. Mike is 21 and is a university student. Alice is 10 and loves her cat, Vickie. I love pets too. 

I like listening to music, especially hip hop, and I play the guitar. I've got a lot of CDs.

I also like playing basket, cycling, watching adventure films and browsing the Internet.

I don't like spending much of my time surfing the net, I hate waiting too much for the page download. What about you? Have you got any brothers or sisters? Have you got a pet? What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your spare time?

Dear Ally,

thank you for your letter. I am very happy to get an English friend.

I'm sixteen years old and I go to a technical high school here in Milan, where I study information and communication technology.

Milan is a very big city in Italy and there are a lot of things to do or to see: museums, churches, street markets, parks, theatres, cinemas (you can see original language films), shopping centers and so on. I live with my family in a flat in the south of the city. My mum is 52 and she is a housewife. My dad is 54 and is a teacher. I've got one brother and a dog. My brother's name's Mario, he is 26 and is a mechanical engineer; the name of my dog is Charlie. I like playing videogames, dancing, ice skating, walking around with my friends and reading fashion magazines. I also like listening to rock music. I've got my own web site, too: annabianchi.it
