Differenze tra il Present Perfect Tense e il Simple Past Tense

 Il Present Perfect è usato quando il periodo di tempo non è finito I've worked so hard this week.   
(Questa settimana non è ancora finita.)
Il Simple Past è usato quando il periodo di tempo è finito  I worked so hard last week.
(La scorsa settimana è finita)

 Il Present Perfect è spesso usato quando si danno notizie recenti  Mark has just seen that film.
(E' appena successo)
Il Simple Past è spesso usato quando si da' un'informazione più datata  Mark saw that film last year.
(E' avvenuto molto tempo fa.)

 Il Present Perfect è usato quando il tempo non è specificato Geena has broken the glass.
(Non sappiamo quando è successo)
Il Simple Past è usato quando il tempo è specificato Geena broke the glass one minute ago.
(Sappiamo esattamente quando)

 Il Present Perfect è usato con for e since, quando le azioni non sono ancora finite She has lived in London for two years.
(Vive ancora a Londra)
Il Simple Past è usato con for e since, quando le azioni sono già finite She lived in London for two years.
(Non vive a Londra oggi)
