Past Simple: Forma Negativa e Interrogativa

Forma Negativa, Interrogativa e Interrogativa-Negativa


Le forme negativa, interrogativa e interrogativa-negativa del Simple Past si costruiscono con l'ausiliari DID per tutte le persone, singolari e plurali.
Le frasi negative sono formate aggiungendo didn't (informale) o did not (formale) davanti alla forma base del verbo.
Anche le frasi interrogative vengono costruite usando l'ausiliare did. Questa volta però, l'ausiliare viene posto davanti al soggetto e il verbo è espresso nella sua Forma Base
La frase interrogativa-negativa si ottiene con l'ausiliare didn't davanti al soggetto, segue poi la forma base del verbo.

Le frasi nella colonna degli Esempi sono costruite in modo informale con didn't, ma hanno anche la costruzione formale con did not.
Esempio: I did not work last Saturday

Risposte Brevi (Short Answers)

Le Short Answers sono brevi risposte date a domande che prevedono in genere un Sì o un No e sono preferite alle risposte secche (Sì/No). Si formano al Simple Past utilizzando, dopo Yes o No, il soggetto sempre in forma di pronome personale seguito da did o didn't.
