Tourist - Good afternoon, I need four tickets, please.

Assistant - Are you students or under 21?

Tourist - Well, two of us are students.

Assistant - May I see your student cards?

Tourist - Yes, of course.

Assistant - Fine. So, that’s £4.00 for the two students, and £7.00 the other two. £11.00 altogether.

Tourist - O .K. Here you are.

Assistant - There are guided tours of the castle every forty five minutes. But the last one started ten minutes ago. Closing time is at 5.30.

Tourist - Oh, I see. It’s 16.45 already. But if we hurry we can catch up with the group. Where does the tour start?

Assistant - Over there, on your right, opposite the souvenir shop. Follow the signs to the blue room. The group will probably be admiring the Rembrandt or Lord Saville’s portrait there now.

Of course, if you prefer to tour the castle alone, you will find illustrated guidebooks and maps of the castle at the souvenir shop.

Tourist - Fine. Thank you for your help. Good bye.

Assistant - Wait! You have left your student cards behind…. and here is your four pound change!
